Isaac Pritchard, Royal Welsh Fusiliers

Private, 2217, 'H' Company, 1/6th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Died, aged 17, of illness on 31 March 1915.

Born at Holyhead on 6 August 1898, the son of George and Catherine Pritchard of 12 Mountain View, Kingsland, Holyhead.
He joined the Royal Welsh Fusiliers Territorials in 1913 and volunteered for foreign service on the outbreak of war. He trained at Southhampton and Cambridge. He was stationed at Brompton, near Cambridge and died at East General Hospital, Cambridge from Meningitis, contracted on service.

His father was employed as a Fireman at the Electric Light Company. In 1911 the family lived at 12 Mountain View, Holyhead and comprised George Pritchard (54), Catherine Pritchard (43), Isaac Pritchard (13) and Maggie J Pritchard (11). The family had previously lived at 4 Jew Street, Holyhead in 1901.
