Panther Curriculum

Liberty Hill ISD Panther Curriculum is designed to provide students with a well articulated viable curriculum that progresses through rigor and depth at each level. We believe ALL students will achieve at high levels and will provide the opportunities to challenge their unique strengths.

The Liberty Hill ISD Learning Framework is structured to guide planning and focus on classroom practices. Using the standards provided by Texas (TEKS) to arrange units within the written curriculum allows teachers to have the same clear focus across the district.

The Panther Curriculum is designed by teacher teams to ensure high yield instructional practices are supported within each unit providing equity of access to quality learning experiences for all students. It is a scope and sequence outlining what students will learn at each grade level. Within units are identified priority standards, focus standards, and ongoing standards, as well as learning targets and essential questions to clarify student learning outcomes. Through collaboration and individualized instructional focuses, students will engage with a culturally relevant curriculum to prepare them for the next level.

Priority standards are identified by team members as the essential knowledge students will learn at each grade level. Priority standards are selected using the criteria of endurance, leverage, and readiness for the next level of learning. The list below are the selected priority standards for K-12 content areas.
