Understands where customs come from and why we celebrate them. (US Independence Day and Veterans Day)

• (A) describe the origins of customs, holidays, and celebrations of the community, state, and nation such as San Jacinto Day, Independence Day (July 4), and Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
