Unlike the Doc file, this website can't be edited with a simple link. You need to be logged in as an editor. To be added as editor, please send me (Hiaen) a message with a working email address (preferably a gmail).
Once you're logged in as editor, follow the following steps to create a new entry:
On the website, click on the little pen in the bottom right corner of the screen. You will switch to Edition mode.
2. Go to the correct part (Headcanon, Serious AU or Crack AU) and the correct subpart (character concerned). If you're unsure where something goes, there are details given on each subpart's page. You can use the sidebar to navigate the site.
3. Each subsection has a Template. It's usually at the very top in the sidebar.
4. Open the page’s menu
5. Hit “Duplicate Page”
6. Write the entry's name. Give it a descriptive title that makes it easy to find. Then hit “done”
7. Add the entry name in the big ass title
Hint: if you're copy pasting, use ctrl+shift+V instead of ctrl+V so it’ll format correctly
8. Go to the Creator section
9. Hit “insert link” (ctrl+k also works)
10. Look up the creator’s name. Click on the link that comes up, then click apply.
11. Copy and paste all the general info directly from the Discord convo to the Description part.
12. Roughly group together things that are thematically linked - even if you don’t follow the chronological order of the original convo. Add parts if necessary - for example, if someone’s added a fic excerpt to the AU in the middle of the convo, give it its own part.
To add a text section, hit "Insert" in the sidebar, then "Text Box".
You can also add a "Divider" beetween sections to make things neater
If the convo goes on a tangent that splits too far off the original topic, make it into its own entry (cf. “serious tangents to the Wholesome Coup Crew AU” for example). Same if someone throws a loose hc into a convo that’s only vaguely related.
Clean things up a smidge for readability: remove the emotes that didn’t survive the copy/paste, remove the keyboard smash, try editing the sentences to remove the “I think that” “my idea is that” and make them into more statement-like sentences.
13. Copy and paste the funny fake quotes to the archives part.
If there aren’t any Archive, hover over the section and hit the bin to delete it.
Do the same for the redundant separator.
14. Go to the Creator’s page in the Creator’s section
15. Go to the list
16. Make a new line, then hit “insert link”
17. Look up the article you just created. Click on the link that comes up, then hit “apply”
17. Go to the category page for the entry you just created
18. Go to the entry list
19. Make a new line, then add a link to the article you created
20. You're done! Please warn me (Hiaen ) if you’ve recced something, so that I don’t accidentally re-do the work!
