emily especially understands and quietly lets hypatia gather herself because jesus—she was there, she saw all that firsthand, she knows how awful it must be to even think about him

it sucks bc a LOT of the stories involve him and it’s so soon after that she’s not quite ready to even talk about him. just ow ouch oof the wounds are fresh and she’s still in the middle of processing the boatload of shit that’s been revealed to her about herself
