Daud still somehow getting caught up in it and still being a tad bit at fault bc he KNEW the empress was gonna get assassinated by the virtue of Hiram asking assassins around and he didn't do anything about it

he -- eventually seeing what a shitshow dunwall has become -- breaks corvo out of jail and bam sortof-whaler corvo au. he'd probably just break him out and he'd PLAN to be like "ok b you're on your own now" but maybe corvo tracks daud down and daud is impressed bc nobody can do that.
