Corvo and Emily are swapped with Daud and Billie
Daud became lord protector the same way as Corvo, blade verbana etc etc. Billie had a mom/dad who ruled before. Daud was either their protector or captain of the guard. They died when she was 15-20 ish and she declared him her protector and the game takes place when she’s 25.
Corvo’s still Corvo but with a little bit of Daud thrown in there (things like the professionalism, pragmatism, ect )
19 ish Emily 26ish or so Billie
Corvo wants the low chaos because he knows Sider better and is not Daud-- So like Corvo Fascination is still a thing. The only reason is that in this au Corvo is like an assassin and therefore boring (to the outsider). So maybe like as corv starts repenting and stuff (and saving Billie) the outsider regains the intrest he has in normal dh and then on the flip side, he starts off super interested in Daud but the minute dh is done he just fucking dips and is like “fuck you dude”
Delilah and Jess: RIVAL GANG LEADER SISTERS. Plus technically Delilah doesn’t even have to be related to Billie she could just be the delusional servant girl we all thought in the first one but also gang leader sisters
Billie is the empress and instead of killing her Corvo just (tw gore) cuts her eye out and kidnaps her. Jess was supposed to kidnap Billie so she was one of the first “whalers” down (like the tutorial) and obviously Daud was protecting Billie so he had no choice but to kill her, then Corvo came and was just filled with rage, maybe cut the eye out just from pure rage and then kidnapped her
so post-kidnapping Corvo's probably just really depressed bc he lost jess, which might call for introspection bc he's caused that same pain to lots of other people... rather than being upsetti spaghetti bc he just kidnapped billerino. well that and letting the evil weevil lord regent get to power. he wouldn’t have as much angst as canon Daud but he would obviously still feel bad and still try to repent
so is Emily like "losing mom made you soft i'm joining aunt Delilah >:" then like 2 seconds later "wait no dad i regret my decisions"? her motivations are similar to canon Billie, more power, Corvo soft ect. Could be Delilahs like “I’m your moms sister” and with her mom dead she’s hanging onto any motherly figure she can but she forgets that dear old dad has been beside her the whole time
Emily loses her arm and gains the void arm like canon Billie, but keeps her eye. Empress Billie wears the eye patch. Corvo gets sick like canon Daud just before DOTO, but it doesn’t kill him.
