you can always tell when Hypatia is getting slapped with an old memory from alex. its more obvious at first when she's not used to it, she just kinda. pauses, eyes wide, staring into nothing. effects vary ig? its sometimes accompanied by tremors.

she gets better at handling the sudden memories as time goes on but fuck dude theyre still awful and it disrupts whatever she's doing just about every time depending on severity. happens a lot on the wale :(

Corvo sometimes makes Hypatia tea to comfort her. He's quiet about it, he understands being haunted by death and he wants to help without forcing her to talk about the memories.

Emily will take her up to the deck of the ship and the group just kinda hangs out up there, Emily practices her crossbow aim and Hypatia just tries to enjoy the warmth outside. Emily’s just vibing walking back to her cabin and finds hypatia in the hall supporting herself against the wall as her entire body shakes and it’s just like Oh. Oh

Emily has a similar cautious approach as she did with Corvo. She doesn't force her to talk about it and just makes sure she's taking care of herself and that she's comfortable.

Emily using techniques that helped her through trauma w Hypatia. hypatia apologizes for the disturbance once it’s over and em’s like NO DONT YOU DARE APOLOGIZE IM GOING TO HELP YOU. Em basically repeating something corvo told her as a kid

I’ll say it again but the idea that all 3 dreadful wale gals get ptsd nightmares often and all wake up is just Something ya know. all like “haha yep I’m fine just also coming for a random walk on the bridge haha no nightmares” “haha me neither”. one night they All get woken up by their nightmares and go outside for some fresh air and its like oh. this is awkward.

I've had a few fic ideas about Billie being super quiet when Hypatia shows up. Maybe Billie gives her some vague advice about killing and then doesn't speak of the conversation again.
