Lunar: Idk if I’ve ever mentioned this but I love how Arkane tried to portray Daud as this badass assassin but unintentionally made him a clown in KoD and BW.
All of his dialogue is snark. You’re telling me Daud reaching out to grab a bonecharm from a nasty ass toilet and complaining about it wasn’t supposed to be funny???
Tanaka: or what he says when the Whalers are being little shits right to his face. "oh yeah, let's sell the boss to the city guard" "...I'm right here, guys"
also him saying his mother told him not to mess with witches, only to end up pursued by a whole coven in his last mission. you can almost hear the yakety sax playing while they're flinging death threats at him
Lunar: He’s the kind of guy who jokes abt his trauma and everybody worries about him because like what the fuck
Lunar: This man is 99% sarcasm. He’s so bad at communicating he doesn't know any language but snark. Honestly expressing your feelings? Not in his skills. Wittily dunking on his subordinates and finding the most ironic ways to deal with a target? Now this he can do!
Hiaen:
Billie: Why are we not killing Rothwild?
Daud: Come on. Come on Billie. We're shipping him. To Tyvia. In his own crates. Come on Billie that's hilarious-
There are a couple times where it really feels like Billie appreciates the low chaos way of dealing with the targets? I remember her enjoying the irony of Timsh getting arrested, and she's the one who suggests using the crates for Rothwild. By this time it's already too late to go back on her betrayal plans - Daud is just waking up from his 6 months depression hibernation - but yeah I think she isn't completely opposed to the low chaos way. Her problem is more with the admission of guilt about Jessamine's death

Hiaen: Absolutely losing it at this exchange of letters:
Daud,
I am satisfied. Corvo would have been very useful to me, but your improvisation was exemplary. Him taking the fall for the crime simplifies matters greatly. I hope you are equally satisfied with the payment. I ashall contact you shortly for additional assignments.

Lord Spymaster,
We had a specific agreement and I planned around it. The Royal Spymaster wasn't part of that agreement. You assured me that she and the girl would be alone. So the price of the job just went up. Send the coin to the alternate dead drop or you can be sure we'll come calling.
-Daud
FJ: This is literally the "You best hope my email finds you before I do" energy.
Hiaen: GHQILGHQDILGHD YEAH. To add on the sass of Daud's letter, there's a good chance that by the time Daud sent that letter, Hiram was already Regent. And yet he explicitly calls him "Lord Spymaster" that's so fucking petty.
