Aidan: dh2 was so mind blowing with shit like stiltons mansion and clockwork mansion but lacking in other ways.

Hydria: still salty abt the scrapped opening scene no this is not just from fave on main

Potes: we should've had more context!! that cut first mission woulda been perfect! we needed more "this is how things are rn" so we can understand how it goes to shit more contextually, and it'd be a more emotional hit. also!!!! so we can fucking understand that the crown killer is an issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aidan: dh2 has more to live up to which makes it harder to be satisfying, I do like the intro cuz it has the same “oh fuck what just happened” thing so i don’t HATE it.

Hiaen: I think the devs also said that in retrospect the tutorial they ended up having felt lacking, especially compared to the DH1 one.

Aidan: Nothing beats the beginning of dh1 it rattled me

Hiaen: The intro of DH1 is incredible, you have half the key characters gathered in a short scene! Corvo, Emily, Jessamine, Sokolov, Campbell, Hiram, even Geoff! Plus Daud who arrives to ruin everything.

Potes: The DH1 opening CAN be short bc it's very simple!! you understand exactly what happens bc it's so obvs and abrupt. it ends w you knocked out and then no longer outside a palace, but in a small prison
