Aren't some of the witches canonically into Daud?
yes, one of the witches expresses annoyance at other witches saying that they act like schoolgirls at the mention of him. also, delilah says that the witches were once impressed with him
Could also be pettiness talking maybe or maybe just from old times when Daud could count the Brigmore Witches among his allies
honestly can we TALK about Daud’s previously being allies w the witches?? What is interesting is that this tidbit is logged in with Daud's young adult life:
"And for a time, before a schism developed, he counted the Brigmore Witches among his allies." (from rumors and sightings)
in the timeline for the dunwall archives, it says (2 interesting things) that a) delilah founded the coven in 1835 and b) in 1835 daud meets "some" of the brigmore witches. i’d imagine that report is an exaggeration. maybe daud met a few for a job and the overseers were like SHIT THEY ARE FRIENDS NOW?? i think "ally" is an overstatement bc he never met delilah but also CLEARLy didn't know of her either
I had the headcanon that some of the witches were a minor coven before Delilah gathered them into the Brigmore Witches, and that Daud met some of them in his early years. the witches get their powers from the mark via delilah - maybe some of them would have been into poisons and bone charms and the occult and shit pre delilah but actual witches? with magic vine shit?? Nah
Also, once the connection w the brigmore witches has been made, does daud have any dialogue referring to their previous meeting?? cos real shit arkane, if i knew some ppl from a cult a few years back and then later was gonna go kill/stop leader of said cult, id say something
