Like first of all I don't think Daud would take care of her personally. First I don't see him as being any good with kids that age - he'd probably be better at handling kids that are at least teenagers. Second, Emily just saw Daud gut her mother, and even socially inept as he is, I'm pretty sure even Daud would realize that it'd be good if he limitted his contact with her, for her sake.

i doubt daud spent ANY time w her, especially bc u hear here wondering about "the man who killed my mother" when shes at the hounds pits, implying she knows very little about him/the people. That could also just be her not wanting to talk about it? Doesn't wanna remember daud at all really

So she'd be most likely handed over to a Whaler. The Heart in DH2 implies that Billie was the one who took Emily away, but I also don't really see Billie as the babysitting type?

On the one hand it's not the kind of task you give to your second-in-command, on the other hand this is such a high-profile target that Daud would not hand her over to just any Whaler.

How long did they have her? It looked like they gave her to the Pendletons at night, so was it just an afternoon or a few days? I guess they'd try and get rid of her as quickly as possible? So I'm guessing just an afternoon. i dont think they had her long at all, esp bc it was like part of the contract 2 hand her over and the whalers seem like an efficient bunch. like the whole deal was to take her to the Pendletons, that's it

I wonder if daud knew he was sending Emily to a brothel. daud is like "the less i know the better i do not care". maybe afterwards, when he was a Depression, perhaps he wondered, but beforehand?? nah dude doesnt give a single fuck

Hooga did you think Daud ever tried to find Em again? Just out of regret or smth or just wanted to let that go and not think about it

he defo would maybe think about it?? "i wonder what happened??" etc. but hes not the person 2 go and apologise, he knows he Fucked Up and all and doesnt expect forgiveness, knows she would never firgieve anything. I don't think it would ever come to him that he could fix anything here. He'd probably think that's an arrogant thought. Whatever he could do would probably make things worse.
