Corvo and Jess started what essentially was a 'suitor bingo' for every time someone tried to court Jess. It was essentially their best way of dealing with the annoying-ass suitors without either A. one of them hitting the dude or B. Jess accidentally declaring her love for Corvo/ kissing Corvo to get the suitor to piss off. Corvo discreetly marks things off on a clipboard.

More seriously: it's somewhat! painful for them bc corvo has to stand there and watch as people flirt w jess and jess has to smile and put up with them for the sake of politeness

corvo stands there menacingly as he can bc he can't exactly say "excuse me sir that's my secret wife stop flirting with her".

corvo always thinking bruh she could do so much better than me while watching these suitors offer stuff, but then of course jess picked him! she always picks him! corvo always getting a teeny bit worried that this guy will be the guy who makes jess realise she needs to actually get married or makes her sick of all the secret shit corvojess have to go through. and he knows that's kinda rude to both him & jess but still the anxiety's there. bc he's just corvo, not some rich nobleman with riches to offer Her Majesty

but!! jess still wants him!!!! and he has no idea how he managed that

corvo of course thinks that jess never has to put up with anything like watching the shitty courting, but jess has overhearing staff and ppl being like "royal protector hot / he's single". and she also just has to be like yep (or make them embarrased by walking past) bc she can't make it illegal to think corvo's hot bc obvs all of dunwall would be in jail then, and that wouldn't be great

what if someone tried flirting with corvo at a ball, they're used to ppl flirting with jess, that's pretty much a given, but corvo?? they're both like wait how do we deal with this wtf.

Even though he's low-born, as Royal Protector Corvo has the title of Lord, a position as close to the throne as you can get, and certainly a stable income. and he's FIT. He's 100% a good catch. Like he's no Emperor but definitely a good suitor for a noblewoman
