in canon it's like he got bit by rats he summoned to get revenge on ppl who bullied himm

one day he's walkeing around and he checks his pockjet, adn his rat friend isn't there. he goes around lkooking for his only copmpanion, freaking out about what will happen to him, when he finds the outsider shrine. that's hwere he gets marked

for a minute he forgets about his friend and goes to the people who tormented them, he stands on a table for safety before summoning the devouring swarm on his enemies. while gloating, he sees a brief glimmer of white on one of hte friends, so he jumps down without thinking to see his friend. that's hwne the rats jump on him too, not kiling him but biting him, he sees one of the many white rats summoned turn to smoke after they finish eating th ebodies of his enemies

and hten badabing badaboom he dies of hte plague

canonicsally befor ehe dies he thanks the outsider at the shrine right. He crawls back to the shrine as he feels the plague creeping through his system. what if while he's there, already blind from the plague, he feels some paste and remains of fur. In the trance of seeing the outsider he stepped on it

i feel like these vibes kinda reinforces the themse of the outsider. like you know, that amount of power tends to disconnect you from those whom you care about, the price of the outsider's power isn't like some monkey's paw bite you in the ass kinda thing , bnut rather a side affect of becoming something more than human. like when you look at what daud became, iirc he said that the outsider madne him feel special, like above people, I mean he was one of eleven(?) chosen by the god of the world right?
