i cracked the da vinci code WHAT IF they all go to Geoff Curnow's apartment/ the curnow fambly home or whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geoff isn't there because he's somehow involved in the emily & corvo getting back to the tower sitch (which probably just consists of emily yelling for everyone to not arrest corvo while the guards behind geoff are frankly shitting themselves whenever corvo looks at them)
do the hound pits survivors them fit on sam's boat properly? no not really but they can squeeze in. but uh. maybe the gang gang hear that Em's in power now and Corvo's all good and pardoned over the city loudspeakers. they hear the announcement and it's like holy FUCK gamers??? and they all celebrate and feel like they're gonna collapse with relief. sam repeats that line about it not paying to bet against corvo at ALL bc holy mother of crap it DOES NOT
um i mean i guess bc callista and geoff reunite at the tower the gang are like FUCK IT we're going to the tower we can't hide out here forever. maybe geoff's sent to the hound pits but of course they find it empty (with maybe a note addressed to corvo on them having left but not saying where bc GUARDS). but uh. family reunion!
also emily and corvo return to the tower. i have a scene idea where it's uh geoff's at dunwall tower captain-ing and someone's like sir we have an issue we don't know what to do and geoff's like huh what and so he comes into the comm room or whatever and corvo attano is on the lighthouse comm. basically saying im corvo the former lord protector i have embly kaldwinning @ life with me repeating til someone answers and geoff's like oh shit and answers!! bc he trusts corvo, and knows he didn't do the shit they said
uh idk maybe geoff, still needing to do proper radio etiquette, is like "this is captain geoff curnow speaking" and emily blurts out "LIKE CALLISTA?" which makes geoff very confused as to how the heiress of the isles knows his neice. but then i guess at some point geoff takes men to the lighthouse and um yeah emily tells some of the actual story
it's very clear that no-one is going to be able to separate corvo and emily. something something they return to the tower (corvo has the most flitty eyed look geoff has ever seen surrounded by the city watch on the boat). i mean geoff is like 90% sure corvo could actually take them all out
but um yeah. return to the tower and emily and corvo want to just lie face down on the floor because holy shit they're home. corvo wants little else more than to sleep in his own bed but he also doesn't want to leave emily's side so he sleeps in a slightly uncomfy chair by her bedside the whole night bc no fucking way he's letting her out his sight til they have this shit sorted. they sleep in the SAME BED that first night and HUG
emilky can nt sleep without her papa. i hc that she legit can't for the first few months, corvo has to sit/ lie down by her side til she falls asleep for those nights (and sometimes he just stays there the whole night bc she gets nightmares and needs him there to comfort her). the nights that she's like no it's fine i can sleep by myself USUALLY end with her padding down the hallways to corvo's room like "I can't sleep"/ "I had a nightmare" and she sleeps in his bed
corvo is very thankful for it himself bc he gets SO MANY GD PTSD nightmares but waking up and seeing emily sleeping soundly by his side always calms him right down. also just knowing she's under his protection and not some potentially dodgy city watch is a comfort
also quick addendum: geoff isn't schewpid schewpid and he knows that there's no way that emily would be protectively clinging to the man who killed her mother like that; his very prevalent suspicions that corvo didn't kill the empress at all are proved p much
also also loving the idea of the hound pits gang getting to the tower and seeing emily and corvo properly as the heiress and lord protector (not the traumatised little girl trying her best and the sewer rat guy with anxiety and a knife that they knew at the pits) and they're like yep that is how they're meant to look
themb all bring there in the front row @ emilys coronation. awkwardly in the front bc they have no idea how to act in those social situs, sam wearing a new jacket he bought especially cos hes gotta look smart for lady emilys coronation. callista's like come on you three (they got cece back) and trying to show piero sam and cecelia what to do. Emily just being :D at seeing them all, which makes it all worth it
callista basically guides the others around but callista is also Obviosuly with her uncle geoff so now geoff just has these confused ppl hanging around as well but hes :) bc callista friends. geoff and his little duckling troupe. sometimes a family is a city watch captain, his niece, a boatman, a natural philosopher, and this one girl who survived a massacre bc they forgot she existed. geoff looking out for them speciifically cecelia after,,, like asks callista how shes doing bc cecelia is just like a lone soul in the city
then the group REALLY see like PROPER corvo and emily yk. they dont recognise corvo at first bc he doesnt smell and theres no sewage in his hair. i think that's gotta be especially :o for sam who saw corvo exit the coldridge sewers yk. bc he first sees corvo as a man who has just escaped prison, almost fresh out of the interrogation room, and looking like he was a fire ready to burn dunwall down. but now there's this calm and collected man standing up straight in his fancy-like uniform. sam shedding a tear when he sees them together and proper, corvos changed so much from thay starved, wild looking, angry man trying to survive, to a man standing proudly beside his daughter
