I feel like analysing the city watch uniforms from a practical perspective

Ok so the helmets are a cross between prussian military helmets and bobby hats, and i think they don't have gorgets but i need a better look at the uniform. Corvo's outfit in his dh 1 model has one but i don't think the guards have it. Which is. Convienient but also stupid.

I digress but the idea behind the overseer masks is ok but. How would it react to someone repeatedly slamming an overseers head into something? Like i know its for protection from projectiles but what about smacking an overseer in the face?

The only other character class in dh1 that wear masks are the whalers, which have their noots to somewhat help with bonk-ability. Plus they will shank anyone who tries
