Ya know what in the spirit of Lunar New Year I made some hcs about it in regards to how it could possibly fit into the Dishonored universe and cultural differences
This would be an exclusive holiday up north only in the Wei-Ghon area. I think because it is its own island that they would be able to have their own calendar system (probably a point of contention in the Isles as to whether or not they would have to be forced to follow the standard 13 month calendar instead). Fugue Feast canonically follows astronomical signs, so the Wei-Ghon province/area would probably too, just in a different way according to their traditional (which would be the equivalent to our Lunar calendar).
The method of celebration varies between each city/smaller area within the province, so the celebrations vary from our Chinese new year to Tết (Vietnamese new year) to Mongolian new year to Japanese and Korean new year, basically encompassing all of the different new year celebrations present in our world. For the sake of this, I can only really detail about the region that celebrates Tết bc well. It's the only one I'm familiar with.
During Tết there's usually an offering/shrine made for the dead, sort of as a respect thing, sometimes it's just generally to celebrate. Either way, fruit is usually set out (usually citruses, for some reason pineapples too), however unlike in Vietnam, Tyvia is v cold, so no tropical fruit :(. Serkonos makes a LOT of money exporting fruits to Wei-Ghon, during the time of the year a lot of trade boats go to and from the area (which pirates like to exploit too).
Lion and dragon dancing is mandatory. It's harder to do outside in the snow, so typically these kinds of events happen indoors, but some villages have trained to dance outside, so you can see beautiful red and yellow lions and dragons dancing in the white snow...
You know that one board game I mentioned a bit ago with the crab? Well of course they're gonna get replaced with Dishonored animals like hagfish and whales.
Those red envelopes that are associated with new years (we call them lì xì) are a little bit different, since Dishonored from what we know primarily uses coins (idk maybe they do have paper money id), so usually people give out red pouches instead, ornately embroidered with gold patterns and lettering.
This is what I mean too btw.
