Reminder: Update your dependents and beneficiaries

Have you recently experienced a life event change such as marriage, birth or adoption of a child, or any other change in family status. If so, you will need to update your dependent or beneficiary information as this ensures your benefits coverage reflects your present circumstances and the correct entitlements are applied to you and your dependents.  Please refer to the applicable staff group for benefits information page for more information and to access forms. A signed Change to Beneficiary form must be submitted for any change as per our benefit provider. 

Overage dependent- We’ve got them covered

If you have a dependent over the age of 21 and under 25 years, enrolled as a full time student at an academic institution, then they are eligible for extended health coverage. Proof of enrollment must be submitted to Shared Services for each term the dependent is enrolled as a full time student. Need more information? View the Add, Renew or Remove a Dependent Child page.

Introducing the Academics Sun Life Booklet

The booklet for academic benefits replaces the health and dental plan texts and provides important details about the group benefits in an easy to read format. This booklet provides information about the group benefits and eligibility, please familiarize yourself with it especially when making a claim for group benefits.
