Periodontal treatment consisting of scaling or root planing will now be classified as “periodontal debridement”. Therefore, scaling codes (11111-11117) and root planing codes (43421-43427), whether part of IPT or MSPT, have been removed from axiUm. Â
Treatment providers will now only treatment plan the appropriate number of Periodontal Debridement codes SCRP_-I or SCRP_-M based on the patient’s periodontal classification. Please see the Periodontal Debridement Fee Structure & Radiology Guidelines based on Periodontal Classification for more details.
Please use macro codes based on the patient’s periodontal classification when treatment planning periodontal care as this will ensure the appropriate type of treatment and number of units are planned.
Please note that a new bur has been added to the CAD/CAM bur kit.Â
Blood pressure kits are now stored on the countertop in the operatory, rather than inside the cupboard. Â
Please return blood pressure kits to operatory countertops when they are not in use.
If treatment providers are finding that amalgamators are not triturating appropriately, please either bring the amalgamator to the Dispensary so that it can be sent for repair or submit an eMaint request.
Additionally, if the amalgamator does not power on, please check that the GFI power outlet has been reset.
