Visitors in the OHC & Sim Lab on May 17, 2023

We will be hosting a tour of the Oral Health Clinic and the Simulation/Nutrition Lab on May 17th from 11:00am - 12:30 pm.  Members of the tour include Bill Flanagan, U of A President, Guy Amini, President dentalcorp, and Nicola Deall, Chief People Officer, dentalcorp.  

The visit has a dual purpose: to thank dentalcorp for their donation to the School of Dentistry last year and to showcase for President Flanagan the great work that you all do in the OHC every day. dentalcorp is also excited to see the dentalcorp Student Lab in KEC and the dentalcorp Simulation/Nutrition Lab in Kipnes, both of which were named in recognition of their donation. 

REMINDER:  Equipment Requests

As of this week and going forward, all DDS TCs will be "tying" planned treatment to appointments as they are being scheduled.  This means equipment requests will be done automatically for students - no need for manual requests in these cases.  

Students who have patients without planned treatment will need to submit a manual equipment request.

Please review all equipment requests at least 48 hours prior to the appointment - if additional equipment is required, students must add a manual request for the additional equipment 48 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment.

UPDATE:  Dental Assisting Students from NAIT

Dental Assisting students from NAIT have joined us in the OHC.  They will be here until June 2 from 8:15am-11:45am, Tuesday through Friday.  Please see here for more details.
