Windows 10 will be reaching its End of Life in October 2025. After this time, "Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10." It is strongly recommended to upgrade to Windows 11 before October to ensure that you are receiving new updates and security fixes.
For Windows users, make sure your device supports Device encryption (via a Microsoft Account on Windows Home edition) or Bitlocker Drive encryption (on Windows Pro, Enterprise or Education edition).
For Mac users, FileVault can be used to encrypt your device. It is included on all Mac devices.
More information on encryption (including how to encrypt your devices) can be found on the Encryption page.
