ATTENTION: CCCA - Use of ArticaineÂ
The use of Articaine local anesthetic in the Comprehensive Care Children and Adolescents is NOW PROHIBITED. As you already know, Articaine is more toxic than lidocaine. Articaine local anesthetic block techniques are contraindicated. Applying lidocaine with good techniques is sufficient to get the area anesthetized without the increased risk of a toxic reaction of the Articaine in a child.
