Dentistry Technical Services (IT)

Who will Dentistry Technical Services Support?

They will support the following locations:

• Oral Health Clinic (Kaye Edmonton Clinic [KEC])

• Simulation lab (Dianne and Irving Kipnes Health Research Institute [Kipnes Institute])

• Northern satellite clinics (High Level, La Crete and McLennan)

They will support these groups:

• • All staff and offices listed in the above locations

  • Staff who have clinical applications loaded onto their devices regardless of their locations

  • All students (graduate and undergraduate)

They supports these applications:

• • Clinical applications whether they’re on Virtual Computer Services (VCS) or locally installed. They include axiUm, sidexis, viewpoint, dolphin, iCAT, etc.

If you are located in the above areas and require assistance, which includes additional teaching and training support, loaner equipment or are a student, please contact them at dsupport@ualberta.ca.

They will not turn away any request but may direct you to submit a ticket to the Central IST team for support or submit one on your behalf if your requests do not fall into the categories above. The central team supports all standard applications and standard desktop equipment, including networks and servers — even if it was previously under dentistry technical services. 

This contact list will help route you to the correct contact area for your technical services request based on your location. As we continue our transition process, this table will be updated regularly to reflect any new information that is made available.
