Onboarding

Welcome to the School of Dentistry’s onboarding resource page. Onboarding is the process of integrating new employees into the workplace and the assembled resources are intended to help simplify the tasks and training initially required to set up an employee.

Whether you are a new or a returning instructor, we are glad that you made the choice to come and share your knowledge and expertise with the students.

Tools and Resources

Some portions require a CCID.

Find out what important tasks you need to do once your contract has been signed.

The university's mandatory training is meant to create awareness of the important aspects of our work and to prevent, avoid and mitigate risk, and aid us in creating a physiologically safe work environment.

This series of training is specific to the School of Dentistry and will help you prepare for your teaching assignments as well as how to stay safe in the clinic and lab(s).

Once you are all set up and have taken all the necessary training, we begin orientation. This is where you will tour the facilities, meet the staff and faculty you will be working with, and get a link to the school’s master schedule so you can review your teaching assignments.

Here you will find a list of key contacts in case you need information and/or have any questions. For general inquiries, email denthr@ualberta.ca.
