W.W. Wood Award

"Excellence in dental education"

The Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry (ACFD) has established the W.W. Wood Award for "excellence in dental education" to commemorate Dr. Bill Wood whose academic career exemplified dedication to research, teaching and service. 

Nominations

Do you know any who are doing amazing things? Recognize their achievements by nominating them to our local committee.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, individuals must be a full-time or part-time faculty member who has completed at least three years of teaching in a Canadian faculty of dentistry. The full details can be found on the ACFD website.

Selection Committee

The nomination material is reviewed by the University of Alberta School of Dentistry's award selection committee. After review of all the nominations and selection of the winner, the award committee provides the name of the recipient and supporting documentation to the ACFD office who then create the certificate and send it back to the School for signature by the dean and presentation to the recipient.
