It's National Dental Hygienists Week

National Dental Hygienists Week is from April 4 to 10, 2024. This week is to recognize and appreciate the impact dental hygienists have on the health of our communities. Whether in the classroom, our clinics or the industry — our faculty, staff, students and alumni influence our community. They are leading preventive oral health care. Take a moment this week to thank a dental hygienist, and continue to celebrate their essential work throughout the year. 

The Canadian Dental Hygienist Association (CDHA) has set this year's theme as 'Oral Health for Total Health.' They meet at the High Level Bridge to light the bridge in purple on April 4; and they look forward to seeing members of the school community there. The school's CDHA student representatives and clinical professor Alexandra De Sheppard, president-elect of CHDA, will see you there.
