Major Grants
(Greater than $8,000)
Applications for Major grants are now open! See deadlines below
The goal of the major endowment fund is to support high-quality, impactful research in the School of Dentistry that may subsequently be supported by extramural grant capture. These grants recognize the creativity and innovation that are at the heart of all research advances related to the specific endowment funds.
We currently have three large grants that support research funding for craniofacial biology, community and population oral health, and orthodontic studies. The school has a Generic Terms of Reference, which highlights the eligibility, funding and award conditions of the major grants. See the sections below for full details of the grants, and their specific terms of reference. When there are differences between the terms in this document and the terms in Specific Terms of Reference, the terms associated with the Specific Terms of Reference will prevail. Annual call for major grants will be announced in the Fall. Special calls may be announced in the Spring (subject to fund availability).
