"Retiring from full time clinical teaching, has given me the opportunity to be a preceptor at the Satellite locations in High Level, La Crete and McLennan. It has been a wonderful experience. The clinics are well run and the teams that support the clinics are amazing to work with. It is an excellent opportunity to mentor students one on one and watch their confidence and skill level improve. The program supports communities in need of dental care and the patients are very grateful for the services provided. I would strongly encourage experienced clinicians to get involved and share your knowledge and expertise with our future dental professionals."
~ Dr. Trudy AuCoin
"As a satellite instructor since 1998, I can say that it has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my professional career. It has been my pleasure to interact with these young dentists and help provide them with real world private practice experience. The students' genuine interest and spirit constantly renews my enthusiasm for the profession, and I look forward to my rotations every year."
~ Wes Fournier
“Just a note to say how much I love instructing at the satellite clinics, both High Level and La Crete. The clinic is beautifully equipped; the staff is first class, and the accommodations are excellent. You do have do your own cooking, but the kitchen is fully equipped and the other folks in the residence are very helpful. The part of instructing that I love the most, is the enthusiasm and energizing attitude of the students. I graduated in 1967, and love to see the freshness and excitement the students bring to the clinic every day. So, if you want to share the excitement, take a rotation or two…. you won’t be disappointed.”
