Effective, July 7, 2025, Dentistry IT will no longer be able to order computers for staff members. As part of the Computer Equipment Procurement Initiative, all computer requests must be made through the IST Service Portal.
This only applies to those not on the Evergreen List. If you are on the Evergreen List, we will reach out to you when it is time for your scheduled replacement.
To request a computer for yourself (if not on the Evergreen List), your lab, your research students or staff you supervise, please follow these instructions:
Please review the IST Workstation Offerings page to see which offering would best meet your needs. If none of the listed computers meet your needs, you will need to request a custom configuration
Navigate to the IST Service Portal and start a Computer and/or Accessories Request. You will need to log in with your CCID. If the link does not take you directly to the form:
Please login to the IST Service Portal with your CCID
Click on the IT Services Catalog option
Scroll down to the Desktop and Mobile Computing section and choose Computer and/or ... (hovering over it will show the full name, Computer and/or Accessories Request, and a brief description).
Fill out the form. All items indicated with a * are mandatory and must be answered before the form can be submitted.
Please tell us what you need*: Choose either "I need a new computer for our new hire" if hiring for a new position or "I want to purchase a computer and/or accessories (not for Evergreen)" if purchasing a computer for a lab or research project
Who is this computer for?* Enter the name of the primary individual who will be using the computer. If for a research group or lab, please enter the PI
Please tell us about your/their role*: Administrative/Support staff, Researcher and/or Teaching. Choose as many as applicable

Once the form has been completed, click the Place Request button. You will receive an email that a ticket has been opened for you and will be automatically be notified of any updates posted to your request by IST staff.
