Starting Tuesday, January 31st, staff in the Radiology Suite will be piloting a new system, which will replace the current two-way radio system, for checking the availability of radiology operatories. The pilot will be taking place during all clinical sessions, with the EXCEPTION of Wednesday morning Pediatric Dentistry clinical sessions.
Please see this Radiology Workflow and instructional video to learn how to reserve radiology operatories in the Radiology Suite.
We hope this new system will allow radiology staff to spend more time assisting students/patients and less time managing the two-way radio system.
Please ensure all annual exam and perio-related recalls are accurately entered in axiUm's Patient Card Recall Box (toothbrush icon). Inaccurate entries significantly impact day to day operations for those responsible for scheduling patients, not to mention how inaccurate data negatively impacts consistency of patient care.Â
Please ensure the following are reviewed and updated at each perio appointment:
1. Perio Form (in CAF Folder in "Forms")
Periodontal Classification
Future Scheduling of Periodontal Treatment
2. Please use the Perio Template Note (DDS & DH Students) when entering treatment notes related to perio into the "Tx History":
The Recall Card is populated by the information in the "S" section of the PARTS note
Next periodontal appointment: (Recall Type) (Recall Interval)
3. Prior to dismissing patients, please check the Recall Card - please DELETE old/out-dated recalls:
Each Recall Card should only have TWO future-dated recalls:
one PERIO-RELATED recall type with the appropriate interval, andÂ
one EXAM recall type, with the appropriate interval.
Please see the following reminder from KEC Site Administration regarding the KEC/AHS Masking Policy:
AHS still has COVID-19 restrictions on the number of people riding an elevator at one time (4 people/elevator)
AHS still requires masking at all times while on AHS property. AHS property in the pedway begins at the card access doors between Kipnes/KEC and Kipnes/UAH.
Please also ensure patients are donning masks once treatment is completed as some patients are making their way out to Patient Services without a mask.
