REMINDER: Hands and Nails
Nails must be trimmed so the nail cannot be seen over the pad of the finger from the ventral aspect
Nails and cuticles need to be well maintained.
Broken skin (wounds, eczema, hangnails) provide a portal of entry for pathogens. Simple wounds must be covered with a dressing and then gloves when providing patient care. Extensive wounds require consultation with the SoD HSE Coordinator.
No nail polish of any sort allowed in clinics or labs.
Absolutely no artificial nails allowed in clinics or labs.

For those driving to your Satellite Rotation
Please review our Wild Fire Safety Protocol prior to driving to and from the Satellite locations.
Always review the Satellite Student Manual in advance of your satellite rotation. The manual provides essential information needed for a successful satellite rotation. The manual includes contact information for Nikki McGill and our site coordinators, they will be able to assist you with any questions or concerns during your rotation.
