When the COVID-19 pandemic began, the OHC shifted its clinical standards to measuring every patient's body temperature at the start of every appointment based on directives given by AHS and regulatory authorities. Â
Now that the pandemic public health emergency related to COVID-19 has ended, body temperature should only be measured when indicated by the patient's presenting condition, rather than routinely.
Please contact the HSE Coordinator with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Please see the most recent CBCT Protocols for all programs working in the Oral Health Clinic. Protocols have changed - please read.
Please also note that the ordering process for CBCTs has transitioned from using a hard copy requisition form to a digital axiUm form. A step-by-step guide with detailed instructions on how to use and access the form is located in the axiUm Links Guide - CBCT - Guide for Digital Requisition Form. All programs must use this form.
For additional information related to CBCT matters, including the new requisition process, please join the following Discover Dental Sciences Seminar:

Patient Access is an online portal that patients can use to access certain sections of their EHR in axiUm. Â
Patients are able to enter information directly into their medical and dental history forms in axiUm. If a patient has entered information into these forms using Patient Access, the text in the form will appear in GREEN. Â
Once treatment providers review the form in-person with the patient, the form must still be signed by the patient in axiUm and approved by the supervising instructor, as usual.
Please contact the axiUm support team with any questions.
In an effort to reduce needless plastic waste, please refrain from using denture cups as tote containers for sundries. Please use reusable metal containers from Dispensary for this purpose.
Please only use denture cups when needing to soak items in diluted sodium hypochlorite or Cidex for disinfection purposes. Â
By the way, removable dental prostheses such as partial dentures or complete dentures, should be stored DRY on a paper towel (not in a denture cup) during the course of an appointment.
Your cooperation is appreciated.
Due to limited quantities, Bioclear™ Blasters will be provided by Dispensary on a first-come first-served basis. Additional quantities are expected by the beginning of October. Thank you for your patience.
