ATTENTION:Â DDS III
During the Intersession term, Radiology Reports no longer need to be booked exclusively with a Radiology instructor. You can complete your Radiology reports with either a CC or a radiology faculty member.
There will be online appointment slots available with Dr. Almeida and Dr. Pereira, as well as in-person slots with Dr. Ganatra and Dr. McGaw. Instructions for booking an appointment with a radiology faculty member, along with the Zoom link, are posted on eClass.
For CBCT reports, please schedule your appointments with Dr. Almeida or Dr. Pereira and book 2-15 minute slots (30 minutes total) for CBCTs.Â
Lastly, please remember that Radiology reports must be completed within 15 working days from the date the images are taken.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Patients with CDCP Insurance
Anticipated treatment is pre-authorized the day before the appointment and a Sticky Note is placed on the patient card with the coverage. Â
If additional treatment is needed - Students MUST request a Patient Services Clerk pre-authorized the additional treatment and the patient must be notified of coverage prior to treatment commencing.
Identifying a Patient with CDCP Coverage:
All patients with CDCP insurance MUST have the coverage for treatment verified and the patient must be notified about their costs prior to treatment being started. Our staff can verify coverage by sending a pre-authorization via CDAnet for Schedule A procedures.
When you open a patient’s axiUm chart an alert will pop up with this info:
You can also identify a patient with CDCP by this symbol being at the bottom of the screen:
We wanted to share a comment we received from one of our patients through our SoD OHC Patient Satisfaction Survey:
"Overall it seems like the students and professors leave nothing to chance. All issues are uncovered and prioritized for treatment. It's totally amazing what the whole team does every day."
