CDCP coverage for eligible individuals aged 65+ started May 1st. Â
A pop up will appear upon opening the EHR of a patient who has CDCP coverage - the message will vary based on the patient's coverage ie. 100% , 60% or 40%.
The CDCP logo will also show on the taskbar in axiUm.Â
When developing treatment plans for patients covered under CDCP, you may observe variations in patient fees based upon their coverage level. Patients with full coverage (100%) adhere to the CDCP fee guide, while those with partial coverage (40% – 60%) follow the SoD fee guide.
It is imperative for all CDCP patients that any planned treatment undergoes pre-authorization before it is completed. Should there be any new treatment planned on the same day as the patient's visit, it is essential to consult a PS Clerk or Treatment Coordinator to confirm coverage.
All previously planned treatments will undergo pre-authorization prior to the appointment, with patients being informed of any services that are not covered. A sticky note containing coverage details will also be added to the patient's EHR.
Any inquiries regarding patient billing should be directed to the PS clerks during checkout. In cases where further clarification is required, the PS clerks will follow up with the finance team to ensure accurate information is provided.
