Kipnes
The Kipnes Simulation Lab will be CLOSED to students from 6:00pm on Friday, December 22 until 6:30am on Tuesday, January 2.
KEC
Students, including clinical grad students, will have NO ACCESS to KEC (includes Student Lab and Touchdown Desks) from 7:00pm on Friday, December 22 until 7:00am on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Please note that all clinical grad students will have their after-hours extension numbers inactivated during Winter Closure. Many thanks to those who will be managing after-hours emergency calls during this time:

GPR residents will continue to manage the GPR Program's emergencies throughout the break.

Students are reminded to return any items that were scanned out during the Fall Term and that are no longer in use eg. impression trays, biteforks, etc.
REMINDER: Return of Instruments to Dispensary before Winter Break
Students are reminded to return any items that were scanned out during the Fall Term and that are no longer in use eg. impression trays, biteforks, etc, to the Dispensary's Soiled Return Counter.
The KEC implemented the AHS Enhanced Masking Guideline with the rest of the University of Alberta Hospital Campus on October 30th. After further review, masking is not mandatory at the KEC effective December 19th. Masking in clinical patient care areas and with vulnerable populations is still encouraged.
Please note that AHS Personal Health Numbers will be collected by Patient Services as part of routine collection of patient health information and will be securely stored in the respective patient's EHR.
