Yesterday morning the entire second year dental class was observed wearing their masks in the Simulation Lab… even when there was no instructor or Sim Lab coordinator present to ensure everyone was compliant!Â
Thank you for implementing our IPC standards to keep everyone healthy.
When learning in the SimulationLab, it is important that you mimic how you will be performing the skills you’ve learned on real-life patients in a clinical environment. Even simple things like PPE can have a significant effect on patient outcomes. PPE, such as masks, full face shields and gloves are important to learn / practice with because these things could affect your performance when it really counts.
