ATTENTION: Increase in consumption of Oral Hygiene Instruction (OHI) products
It has come to our attention that there has been an increase in the consumption and distribution of OHI products beyond typical usage levels. While we understand that these products are being sent home with patients for their care, we would like to remind everyone to distribute them in moderation.
Please ensure that you are demonstrating the products to the patients during their chairside appointments and only the products being demonstrated should be sent home with the patient - please refrain from providing “extras” beyond what was directly shown and explained during the appointment.
UPDATE: Sulca Brushes are no longer available in the OHC
The OHC will be transitioning to end tuft brushes which are currently on order.
Once the new brushes arrive, they will be made available at the dispensaries. A follow-up clinic memo will be sent out to notify everyone once the end tuft brushes are ready for distribution.
The following Strata G garrison matrix bands will be available at the Dispensary at the end of November.
Please see correlation sheet, pictured below, showing the colors and correlating sizes to help ensure the correct size is being picked (also available at the dispensary)
The benefits are:
- improved anatomic contour interproximal/improved emergence profile for better outcomes
- more stable when being placed. Which is especially helpful for beginner learners.
UPDATE: Blood Glucose Kits - Transitioning to a new Beverage
The OHC will be transitioning from orange juice to an artificially flavored drink for the Blood Glucose Kits. The new beverage will provide the same sugar based content (Per 12 fl oz, 15g of sugar or more) as the current orange juice provides and will offer a longer shelf life than our current product.
The change will occur towards the end of November.
