All clinical students/grad students/residents/faculty/staff can now self-enroll in the Clinical Preparation Course in order to prepare for the upcoming Fall 2023 term.Â
Asynchronous learning modules/webinars found on eClass may be completed once the content is made available. All components must be completed before participating in clinical activities in the OHC. Patient Services staff will only be required to complete the HIA component. Clinical Supervisors will need to complete all components, with CPR being role dependent.
The Clinical Preparation Course contains the following elements:Â Â
SoD Health Information Act (HIA) - now available

Risk Management - now available

Infection Prevention & Control (IPC)
online, asynchronous learning modules
generate Attestation of Completion certificate when successfully completed
Emergency Management

CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) - registration open now
clinical students/grad students/residents/faculty and clinical RDA/RDH staff must register well in advance with Professional Medical Associates using learner specific links that were sent out recently. Â
online CPR BLS course and subsequent registration for the in-person component must be completed by August 20, 2023. DUE TO SCHEDULING CHALLENGES, NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED.

As we bring the 2022-23 academic year to a close and prepare for the fall 2023 term, grad students are asked to tidy their respective touchdown desks and secure belongings in hutches above the desk or their assigned lockers. Â
Please note:Â any items left on the desks will be discarded.
DDS and DH students will have NO ACCESS to the following from July 8 until August 27, inclusive:
KEC (includes OHC, KEC Student Lab and Learner Lounge)
Kipnes Simulation Lab
Please note that all clinical grad students will have their after-hours extension numbers inactivated during the Summer Break. Many thanks to the following program directors who will be managing emergencies (regular hours and after hours) during these times:

Also note that GPR residents will continue to manage the GPR Program's after-hours emergencies through their individual after-hours extension numbers. Â
Many thanks to the GPR residents who will continue to manage emergencies (regular hours and after hours) for patients of the DDS/DH Programs until 9:00am, September 5.  Â
The area of 115 Street highlighted below in red will be temporarily closed between 9:00am and 2:00pm on Friday July 14th. Vehicles can exit from the KEC ground level parkade heading north bound, but a left turn (West) will not be authorized during the closure.
The road closure is necessary to ensure a safe work area during the delivery of construction materials onto Level 8 (top deck) of the KEC parkade. The traffic control measure in place includes a flag person and directional signage. Please see here for additional details.
Please use the following forms to request archived paper charts or supplies/equipment that are now being stored off-site. Please be aware that about 1 week lead time will be required to have charts/equipment returned to the OHC. These forms can also be found in the axiUm Links Guide in the "Help Files" section.
