Poppy to Remember

Poppy to Remember

Erin, Year 6

St Paul's Primary School, Sunshine West

I created an image of a poppy to show my respects to our fallen soldiers. Using oil pastels on paper I blended the colours together. The outside border of the poppy shows a white glow. This not only represents the growth of the flower as it is not placed on the ground, but it also depicts the radiance of the soldiers forever in our hearts. The blue sky shows the peace they fought for, rather than the darkness of their experience.
