The March

The March

Alana, Year 12

St Aloysius College, North Melbourne

Artwork 1: Prismacolour pencil

This artwork depicts myself as a child; and my trusty childhood companion Dusty. The environment is somewhat fanciful, capturing my quaint early year experiences growing up in rural Victoria. The flat space and hand painted collage dots suggest a sense of childlike naiveite.

Artwork 2: Prismacolour Pencil

This artwork has been arranged in a way that is delicately whimsical; animals and a little girl as they quietly adventure into the dense environment that was my childhood dwelling. The flat grounds, stylised clouds, paper cut out style animals and figures, alongside the Eric Carl inspired collage dots, furthermore establish the childlike context, quiet naïve whimsy.
