We were given a weaving art project. We were asked to weave wool on a cardboard loom and the final piece was going to be made into a character by adding various materials.. My character’s name was Oscar. The background of Oscar is quite personal. I made Oscar to represent my old friend, Archie. Archie was an amazing friend who always helped me. The process of making it made me feel sad but at the same time, proud because I was able to make an amazing artwork that represented an amazing person.

My number one goal is to see Archie again, this may take a while but a goal is a goal and I will not give up.

The colours in my weaving were specifically chosen to represent Archie. Archie was blonde, so Oscar was blonde. Archie was a cool person so I chose blue, finally red was chosen for his determination and hard work.
