We selected what special objects would go on our prayer table and sketched them. Then selecting only two primary colours plus black and white paints, we made many colours and painted all the objects and spaces. Then we focused on contrasting colours to add layers making patterns and texture to the background. Finally using a black pastel, we went around all the objects smudging the black a little to give more depth.
