I used the form of photography to explore the idea of mental health. The first photograph is a clenched first, symbolising an individual’s lack of willingness to be true to themselves and speak about their genuine emotions. The second photograph depicts the slowly opening up the hand and revealing the words written inside the palm. The third photograph is the final piece and demonstrates an outstretched palm with the words “I’m not ok” written inside.
