This work was created in response to the picture book 'The Mediterranean' by Armin Greder. This powerful and confronting visual text is centred around the perilous journey faced by refugees having fled their homes in the face of war and violence. The brief was to produce an artwork that communicates emotion using line and a limited colour palette. Felicity used dry pastel to produce a solemn mood and a strong emotional response.
