Our class studied, ‘Animals in their habitats ’ in the Inquiry topic. Our Prep class were shown different animals to choose from, and we liked the peacock. I have drawn this by looking at a picture of a peacock. I wanted to draw the most beautiful peacock, a peacock who is proud of his feathers and tail. I made use of all the primary and secondary colours and enjoyed drawing many patterns and designs. Each feather has different colours and shapes, with round, oval and zigzag lines. The dark blue colour in the background is showing evening. The peacock is fluffing his feathers and I have dragged my pastels to give the fluffy effect to its tail to show that he is about to dance and show off his beauty. I love my picture and I have even drawn a love heart on his cheek.
