WIthin this artwork i have used acrylic paint to depict the Royal Arcade off Bourke St, in Melbourne. I spent many days in my childhood visiting this beautiful location, but one day, having got lost, felt isolated. I have attempted to depict my loneliness and sense of separation with dark, warm tones, shadowy figures and a chequered tile floor that appears to shimmer in the distance.
