Year Fives students completed this piece as a whole year level group. Two classes worked on the piece, focusing on the fiber techniques of weaving and felting. The first group used a large loom to weave sustainably sourced, natural wool. The second group used felting wool to build in the background of the artwork. Using a combination of wool, warm water and dishwashing detergent, students added the final layer. The design focus of this task revolved around the element of texture.
