My creation was made in art class. We were asked to make characters by weaving on a cardboard loom. We had to choose colours that would represent their clothing.

At first I wanted to make a music star but I decided to make my friend instead.

At first the weaving was hard. I didn’t know how to start because I had never done weaving before. After a couple of lessons the weaving was beginning to look more like a person. I enjoyed watching my character come to life,

I named my artwork after ‘Sophie’ after my best friend. We helped each other while we were making the character and we shared ideas.

I was very proud of my ‘Sophie’
