This piece illustrates, through symbolism, the journey of self-discovery, which includes challenges and eventually results in freedom. The water can be interpreted in many ways such as that of drowning, floating and being rebirthed. A blue colour gel was used to enhance the vibrant blue and texture of water creating a more delicate and fragile subject matter. I made a costume and added as it’s texture and line compliment the hair unlike the bathers.
