My painting was inspired by the different angles of Picasso’s Cubist portraits. When I designed my portrait, I wanted to use warm colours, cool colours and white to bring out different shapes. It was challenging to get a thick layer of white that you couldn’t see through. We added 3 layers of cardboard to our design to give it a bit of a 3D effect. I think her eyes look sad like Picasso’s Weeping Woman.
